While I am passionate about grammar and the fascinating puzzle that is the English language, when it comes to creative choices I believe final say should always come down to the writer. Regardless of genre, this is your work and your voice, not mine.
Any Genre
I have edited creative writing, news articles, opinion pieces, marketing copy, and more. Each genre takes a slightly different approach, but they require the same base set of skills: a thorough grasp of grammar and vocabulary, some out-of-the-box thinking, and a keen eye for flow and readability. I love learning, and relish fact-checking even for subjects I have no prior experience with. Whatever you’re writing about, I’m sure you’re passionate about it, and I want to listen.
Human-First
I believe that creativity is what makes us human, and writing has been a foundational form of human expression for millennia. While AI might be able to correct some grammar errors, it falls very short when it comes to creative editing, and forces a mechanical tone onto the writing it edits. I promise to never use AI tools while editing your writing.
